Se me ocurre...no puedo cruzar frontera y volver a ingresar como turista ( plazo 90 dias)...digo porque mantengo tambien residencia en Uruguay. Es decir solo por el hecho de ser uruguayo la tengo no la pierdo aunque ahora viva en Brasil.
Aclaro porque sigo sin entender la diferencia. Lo que yo solicité es la cédula de identidad,,,no solicité residencia. Ahora ando con un papel de la policia federal que dice Registro Temporario...hasta que me den la cédula definitiva.

Para volver a ser turista en Brasil debes acudir a la Policía Federal y cancelar tu residencia, no basta con "cruzar la frontera".

Solicitar la cédula de identidad es lo mismo que solicitar la residencia. No se puede tener la cédula de identidad sin ser residente temporario o permanente. Lo que tu has hecho en la Policía Federal brasileña es la solicitud de residencia y el RNE - Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros, y ahora estás a la espera de que te entreguen tu CIE - Cédula de identidad de extranjeros.
