Buenos días amigos!
Tengo una duda. El otro día me paró la policía y les mostré mi carnet internacional, la libreta que expide tráfico en España. Cual fue mi sorpresa cuando me dijeron que ese documento sólo era válido para estancias temporales, pero en mi caso, que tengo un visado de trabajo de 2 años, tengo que tener la cartera de habilitación de aquí. Según me informaron, el carnet internacional no es válido cuando se tiene un visado aquí en Brasil.
Alguien me podría informar si eso es cierto? Porque no me denunciaron de milagro! :)

Otro asunto es que con el permiso de conduccion internacional es valido absolutamente aunque estes con visado, yo estoy con visado permanente y apuré la vigencia de un año para sacar la CNH, en Manaus y en Recife me pararon varias veces y nunca me dijeron nada. Asi que lo que te han dicho es una "bestera" como dicen aqui, o sea mentira, es un documento absolutamente legal en cualquier circunstancia de estancia, siempre que sea legal.

Llevo 40 días en Brasil y también voy conduciendo con el permiso internacional, ya que me vence en mayo del 2015... Tuve un golpe el otro día pero no me pidieron más que los papeles del coche... De todas maneras iré al DETRAN a preguntar, aprovechando el cambio de nombre del coche. Un saludo! ;)

Carlinhos, como tu tienes visado permanente y eres residente no podrás conducir más de 180 días desde tu entrada a brasil sin tener la CNH brasileira, independientemente de si tu carnet internacional caduca en Mayo de 2015. Debes canjear tu carnet de conducir español por el brasileño.

Ah vale!!! 6 meses, jeje. Me había parecido menos! Tengo tiempo aún... En cuanto me asiente en el curro y en la casa nueva, lo canjeo, porque ahora llevo un estrés que no es normal :p
